Mr L on the The Ceylan restaurant, Cavalaire

If there is one thing we Brits miss in the St Tropez area it is a good Indian Restaurant!
We have tried several and they were disgusting with dried meat and rice but no sauces.
Imagine our delight when we discovered a Ceylanese restaurant in Cavalaire.
This is a simple restaurant with a simple menu. For starters my wife had chicken Tandori and I had onion bargee with samosas. Both delicious.
For the main course my wife had Lamb Korma and I had Prawn Curry. I was amazed by the curry as I expected some pea green broth type of source smelling of curry. In fact what I got was a delicious reddish sauce full of spices. A delight!
We shared one Nan with garlic (very strong) and a delicious Nan with cheese.
All in all a delicious inexpensive meal in a restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay in this town which is very family holiday oriented.
Please try. Website

ah - that's sounds lovely. I know (from being there and experiencing one) that London has amazing Indian food. What is Ceylanese? Everything you had sounds great. What a find!

The Ceylan cooks food from Ceylon ( Now Sri Lanka) . This is a predominently Indian Nation and the food is from the Indian culure.I agree that the Indian food in the UK is great!!

Still this is a good substitute.

Hope you find some Indian restaurants in the area of France you are going to!
